I just looked at SteemD and it says I've been using Steemit for a full year now :)
Steemit has almost completely replaced Facebook in my life. The only reason I still use FB now is for Messenger.
(If anybody out there wants to build an Instant Messaging platform for Steemit, that would be awesome!)
I just wanted to give a great big Thank You to everyone who supported and followed me this past year.
I got a lot of new followers in the past few days, and I want to thank them all too.
I'm planning to write an article in the coming weeks about how to get a lot more followers.
I only want to test it a few more times to make sure this new method really works, so stay tuned!

What I've been told is that SteemIt gives the unused voting power from the whales to the voting power for the other users. Steemit balances it out so that my unused voting power becomes your voting power.
Would you rather have the money instead of the power? In order to give you a 100 percent vote, I would have to not vote at all for 100 other people.

Hi @pocketechange I'm sorry if you feel that I didn't put enough power into my votes. The truth is I used to always vote 100% until just recently. But then I realized I could vote more often if I just vote with less power each time. (It actually blocks you from voting for a while if you run out of voting power.)
I think once you get to a certain level it gives you something called a slider that will let you bring your vote percent down so you can vote more often. I don't believe it's fair to make new users have to vote at 100% all the time. But I think they made it like that because the developers believe the slider is too confusing to new users. At least, that's just what I heard.
I don't remember what level the slider begins to show at, but I thought it was before level 50. Maybe there's an option somewhere in your settings?
Anyway, thanks for your feedback. I followed you and upvoted your comment. And I'll ask around for you about how to enable the slider, I really don't remember if I had to do anything to get it set up.
