So... I thought I might air out my relationship dirty laundry tonight. My wife and I have had a disagreement on how many strollers we should have.
We have two kids, and three strollers. Right away, you can see the discrepancy there. Imagine my surprise when my wife told me we need a new stroller. Really??!!?? We already have 3! I tried to remind her of the current iPad situation where we have like 7 iPads (I suppose that is a different rant so I digress).
First, you need to know that I am anti-stroller in the first place. I think if you have the kids, you should carry them or let them walk themselves when they are able, and pass on the what I refer to as the "kid aides". Of course, my stance is based on my dad position and I recognize that my time with the kids is mostly play, and very few chores like grocery shopping (just how it is at my house, but I know each house is different) since my wife stays at home with the kids.
So to me, one stroller is plenty. Who knew there were even different types? Not me, until I started having kids. So our current 3 strollers consistent of a "pocket stroller" which is extremely small and maneuverable, perfect for the mall or tight places. Next is the "normal" stroller that is larger, has more storage space, and can hold the kid's car seats. Third is the "jogging stroller", which is for running/jogging/rough terrain and has oversized tires and I swear has better shock absorbers than my pickup truck.
Well, my wife informed me we needed a fourth stroller - the "double stroller". Yes we have two kids, but one can walk! Like any good attorney, I argued my case as best I could to the judge and jury (my wife apparently holds both of these positions) who then ruled against me. Therefore, we now have 4 strollers. I had to pull them all out for a mugshot:
I also need to see where my wife is storing this new stroller as the garage was already bursting at the seams with the kids toys and "stuff" (like strollers). After I finish this post, I am going to check the garbage can to make sure my wife did not throw my golf clubs out in order to make room for the new stroller...

Haha, yes, I will have to share that story. We bought the original, which is no good any more, and so had to buy one each for my wife and I. Then we had kids and relatives started giving us more. My wife was FaceTiming with grandparents while kids were bathing and dropped it into the tub so needed another one of course... same logic as the strollers tho- different purposes. A couple minis, a couple big ones, his, hers, kid’s, car etc. I will have to post about it!

Stroller technology. Funny. My parents had two strollers through four kids. The 'umbrella' that stayed in the trunk of the car so it was always handy if we went somewhere and then a bigger one they would take if they went somewhere that would need the extra storage space for diaper bags or toys. That was it. I can get behind your argument completely. If they can walk then they should walk. At least partly. Walk a little, carry a little. That being said, since mom is doing the day to day with the kids in tow she may need the 'kid aides' to make life a bit easier. Either way you have four strollers now! Thanks for sharing. Hello my friend @brian.rrr. Personally, I think that I totally support what you think about the fourth car, since it has 3 and only 2 children. But by explaining in detail that each car is for a special occasion because I can understand that your wife wants that fourth car for another activity, I also think that 4 car for 2 children is as much, besides that Jacop is already walking and as you say, in the case of Jacop sometimes it would be better to walk out because he enjoys more and enjoys the breeze on his legs and feet when stepping on, just as it is more emotional for them. I have totally been there with the stroller issue. We had the jogger (which could attach to my bicycle), we had the one that held the car seat and an umbrella. We never owned a double. The older kids walked or rode shoulders. Non a positive note, at least you got consulted, many don’t.

Normally I like to have an extra of almost anything if it is logical to have. If one stroller were to break and you had to leave to go somewhere and god for bid it was an emergency you would have an extra stroller handy. I do not however see a need for 7 IPads that does seem a little extra. You will not need those in a few years. Save them, give them to friends or family. Or you can even have a garage sale. Anything but the trusty sticks in the bag, please no!

Sir i appreciate your wife plan...she loves your kids like you. You are father and she is mother and my thoughts she thinks about more than your about your kids as my mother. It's natural... mother always try to gift some new to his kids. Your thouhts is right but you have nothing to do about your kids choice or hobby. I just shared my experience.
