Hi Friends,
My family and I were out at a local event the other night, and there was a backhoe loader on the side of the road.
There has been some recent roadwork and general repairs in the particular area we were in, and the crew was not working at that particular moment so we went over and struck up a conversation with them. My son Jacob was particularly interested in all their equipment, and they asked if he wanted to hop up…
Of course Jacob did and they have him some pointers and show him some cool things on the backhoe. They also invited him to join the crew – he just needed to show up at 5:30am the next morning to report for work.
When he asked if he could be on their crew, I said “yes”, but mom said “no”, and mom won out this time.
Oh well son, maybe you can join the construction crew next year…
