Day 122 Bye Bye Potato Chips

I started a challenge of taking 100 days off to mainly focus on my health and overall personal development and used this account as a personal blog. I enjoyed it to the extend where I turned it into a year long challenge were I try to find a good balalnce between health, work and my personal life...

Potato Chips for the longest time have been one of my weak points I got tempted with and could not resist mainly on bad days. To kick this bad habit and destructive behavior I started keeping my streak of number of days without eating Potato Chips in my personal daily reports and it has been super effective. It has been 19 days since I ate a bag of potato chips and did not have a single urge to ever break this streak. I started doing the same with dark chocolate bars to also kick those out of my eating pattern. In the past it would always be a mental struggle walking past these in the supermarket, but now I reached a choiceless awareness and have no issue whatsoever anymore.


I did a small morning run even though it was already quite late and the sun gave quite some heat which is something I like to avoid. My late night tennis session got canceled but I went on a relaxing regular evening walk instead.


Rep Challenge Completed 250 Reps

The Reps are getting easyer to do day by day so I will increase them again to 300 next week and see if I can add some weight to the calisthenics over time to grow some extra muscle. I watched some youtube videos around muscle gains and learned some interesting things especially about food intake and how there needs to be a calory surplus in order to grow muscles. I also started doing reps with little time in between instead of spreading them over the entire day which should increase progress.

Good call on your exercise progression. The body adapts very well after a certain period of time, so finding different ways to increase your intensity should definitely help you see some more progress. And bravo on the chips and chocolate! I keep a bit of vegan dark chocolate in the house on occasion, but cookies are my downfall so those need to stay far away from my shopping cart. ;)
