We are all aware of the importance of slowing down, and when we are unable to do so, we either give up and do nothing, or we become trapped in a terrible cycle of hamster-like haste and frustration. To understand the state of being rushed, I believe it is necessary to delve a little deeper into it today.
Because of the time period in which we find ourselves, we all have the sense that we need to catch up on something. This causes us to be impatient in expending our energy in order to achieve our goal, resulting in a depleted battery at the end of each day. In spite of the fact that everything appears to be clear, we are unable to display common sense when we are fearful of "catching up" or "falling behind" in our studies. If nothing else, I am one of those persons who makes an effort but does not always act in accordance with logic.
We have a strong belief that if we rush, we will achieve our goal more quickly than if we do not rush. This is a mistake. I can tell you from personal experience that this makes a very modest influence every time. You could be running late for an appointment, and you can try to keep up with your vehicle by crossing the safety lane, entering it, and exiting it at high speeds.
We can see that we invest a significant amount of energy doing all of this, which increases our risk of being involved in an accident, as well as our likelihood of earning a significant traffic ticket, among other things. It makes us question whether or not we really did win those fifteen minutes that we were under the illusion of having won them. It's probable that the lining will become more expensive as a result of this decision.
To be clear, this does not imply that you should not act fast in situations that are vital to your well-being. Essentially, the situation that I'm trying to convey here is one in which this has become our way of life. In a body that is regularly stimulated in this manner, it is likely that some negative consequences will develop in the long run.
In the event that you're exerting extra effort because you're concerned about what will happen if you arrive a few minutes late, it's a good idea to consider whether your concern is justified. You can accomplish this by following the procedures outlined below:
The ability to remain stationary for a minute while concentrating on your breath can greatly assist you in resisting the temptation to rush when it emerges or when you realise that it is about to arise. It is necessary to ask yourself, "What could possibly go wrong if I do not move quickly?" What are the most and least desirable outcomes if I act quickly? We'll be able to make an objective assessment of it. You can use this strategy to assist you in taking a step back and evaluating the situation from an objective standpoint.
Following the completion of all of this, you may find that you are still falling behind and deviating from your schedule. If this is the case, you may need to reconsider your priority list. You may, for example, start by reorganising the tasks that aren't connected with your overall goal or purpose. Prioritizing tasks and discriminating between those that are urgent versus those that are necessary may be advantageous in this situation. Alternatively, by taking short breaks throughout the day, you can produce exceptional work.
In some cases, the answer is so evident that options that don't appear to be worth a try turn out to be the solution we were seeking for all along. I feel it is vital that we take another impartial look at ourselves if and when such a situation presents itself.
