Greedy Bitch

Who? Well, me. I’m not ashamed because of it. Money motivates me, i constantly count the price of my hours. Of course money is just one of the things that motivates me. But for me it is big deal.

Greed is definitely my sin. I don’t feel bad if i have to destroy people in order to succeed myself. For me it is every man for them selves! I really don’t feel it is even a sin. We all should have that certain kind of hunger in us, hunger that drives us to do better, try more and seek success. When i meet people who settle, who are lukewarm they make me feel like they are waisting their precious time being alive.

Tho, some of them might think i’m doing the same by being workaholic and ”not enjoying my life”. I don’t blame them. My style is kinda hardcore. I’m passionate when it comes to my profession, at least when i enjoy it and when i’m not frustrated. But even when i enjoy it i don’t work for free.

I’m materialistic girl, i try to keep it in reasonable portions because i have a tendency move very often. And by the time I moved like 91876496th time it is really hard to get anyone to help anymore.

Greed is something that is considered as a negative thing. Yes, it can be also that. Taking more than you need is always considered as shady. But don’t we all do that? Some more than others yes, but we all do it. IF there is now someone who thinks that they take only what is needed, who decides what is needed and when it turns into wants? One can survive without eating everyday, yet how many of us is ready to give up eating everyday?

Earth provides enough to satisfy every man’s need, but not every man’s greed.
Mahatma Gandhi

Even now my greed guides me. I hardly got from work and take a few hours of sleep and then heading back. Why? Not really because I have to. Because I want to. First time in ages I actually enjoy my work, and I think it is fun even if the pressure is much more intense than in my previous job. I love the adrenaline rush I get from work. And that I got to concentrate in the cooking part of my profession.

The one thing I love about my new job is that it feeds my OCD. Even my new co-worker noticed that I have a problem when it comes to little plastic containers and labeling things. Tho, he fell in love in my style so shouldn’t be a problem!

I agree you should strive to be the best at what you do. Everyone should. Optimally, you love what you do. If you don't, you probably will not make it in that job. Oh, you can suffer through it. Many have and do. But to make it to the top of most professions, you have to have passion. And you have it.
If you work hard, enjoy it, AND are great at it, doors will open for you when you don't expect it. You are on your way. I feel it. You are motivated and energized. Go kick some ass!

Aww, this made me smile :) And you are right rivalry has keeped our species alive, so why should we stop now?
It is 6.30am in here and I'm ready to kick some asses!

Hi escapist. Really happy you are happy doing your thing. You were so worried about taking a chance but it seems to work for you and that is what matters.

It really have worked in my favor! Of course i lack a little freetime, but who needs such thing when work is also fun?

I make crazy hours in working as taxi driver. Easily over 60 hours per week, because of creed maybe, but I like working, and I am very loyal and flexible worker. I easily say yes than no to my boss.

This applies to me too, i can't say no when it comes working. well, i could but i don't unless i have something really impostant to do, which i usually dont have :D

While I can relate with your post in general, there are some things that didn’t sit well with me.
I hope that what you call greed is something what I call drive, and there is nothing wrong with drive, it is something that moves you forward, but what I don’t agree with is when you said that in order to succeed you would destroy people.
I don’t know you, this is my first time that I see you, I don’t know what kind of person you are, but I am curious to know do you actually mean that there are no boundaries, no red lines that can not be crossed or maybe you think that it is ok to throw, for example, your family members or your friends under the bus if you will have some benefit out of it?

As you said you don’t know me, but i’m talking about my profession mainly. And by destroying people i mean i dont feel sorry if people are less talented or what ever and i have to walk over them to get my goals. I work hard and sometimes that pays off. Family and friends are totally different thing, they are the most important thing for me, but even they know i’m workaholic and they dont blame me about it.

Greed and drive are pretty similar things for me. The word greed i choose because i was talking about money. Drive i would use if i was talking about passion. I hope this cleared a bit my thoughts about topic:)

There is no place to be sorry if you have worked hard and now you have some skills, and other people that didn't work as hard as you are not on the same level as you are. And you are not walking over them, you are walking past them. There is no room to be apologetic about it. Not cocky, but just confident, definitely not sorry.
And when it comes to greed, in my book that means that there are no boundaries whatsoever, but I understood what you meant.

Very honest writing. Many are this way but dont say so. I admire your honesty

Thanks :)

I hope all of the best for you
