How do you look at yourself? Do you think you're a good writer or are you still waiting for the muse to strike? Do you believe that your book or project is going to be published or do you feel like you're just dreaming about it? Do you worry that nobody cares about your ideas or that your ideas are too niche to be popular?
Have you ever felt like you're destined to live a mediocre life with nothing to show for all your hard work? Do you think you'll never be able to write something meaningful or share it with others? Well, I've got news for you - that won't happen.
I know that sometimes it feels like your destiny is tied to some kind of cosmic force. The idea of being a writer or an artist is often associated with magical forces that allow you to create something beautiful that no one has created before. But don't get me wrong, that's not the only reason why people write or draw, it's just one of many reasons.
When you look at yourself, what do you see? Are you happy? Do you smile when you wake up every day? Or are you filled with self-doubt?
I've written this article because I know how it feels to be struggling with negative self-image. It's a feeling that goes through your whole body, and it never gets any better. It even affects your relationships.
So let me ask you, what would your ideal life be? A life where you were constantly feeling good about yourself? Would you be happy and fulfilled? I know that I couldn't be completely fulfilled without having my own personal project that I am proud of. I wouldn't mind if everyone knew that I wrote a book on writing techniques and how to publish your own book. But most importantly, I wouldn't be able to get past the initial stages of any creative project without the confidence that I'm good at what I do.
What about your self-image? I hope you're starting to feel better about yourself. Don't get discouraged if you don't yet have the confidence that you need to move forward. The reason for this is that it takes a lot of hard work and dedication to change your self-image. It's something that can only be achieved by continuously taking steps towards your goal.
But you're not alone! I've made a list of 5 things that will help you overcome your self-image problems.
- Start believing in yourself
Believe that you are a writer or an artist. If you don't already believe in that then start taking small steps towards that goal. This is the first thing that will give you the confidence that you need.
- Write down your goals
Writing down your goals can be extremely helpful because it forces you to take action. Write down the things that you want to achieve or the things that you would love to do. This is especially useful when you have ideas that you can't quite put into words or when you find yourself stuck with a block.
