When you block a user, you do not block them off your feed. You cannot.
They can still post comments and interact with everyone else, quite happily, on your profile.
Muting means that only you don't see it.
As the control freak I think you are - you would probably would not like things going on, on your own profile without you knowing about them.

There have been those on here that have been antagonizing me and berating me and it made me very angry and I retaliated and I do not like to act in cruel ways.
