I had a friend who lived in Ohio. Her accent was thick. I didn't know they sounded like that, there, until I met her.

    Apparently our North American voices are becoming more standardized. It's a shame. Hopefully those Ohioians will carry on the torch.

    I can imagine a person from Ohio yelling at me in a thick accent about how "Ohioian" isn't the correct term...
