Then Elisha sent him a messenger, saying: Go and wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored to you, and you will be clean. And Naaman left angry.

We often miss what God wants to do for us, just because He doesn't do things as we think he should. For example, we start thinking about the way it will heal us. We think that he will send some famous preacher to lay his hands on us or that the Lord will bring us down with a discharge of His power. But when it does not do so, our faith decays and we ruin what He had planned to do.
That is what Naaman did. He went to Elisha with the hope of being healthy in a particular way. When this did not happen, the Bible tells us that he went furious.
What Elisha told him to do was easy. He had to dive seven times in the Jordan River. Naaman could have done it, but that was not the way he thought he would be healthy. This man believed that Elisha would heal him by simply running his hands over him, and invoking the Name of the Lord.
Naaman rushed out. But had it not been for one of his servants who convinced him to obey what Elisha had told him, he would have lost his healing.
I was like this. I wanted so much to see spectacular things from God that I was missing what He had planned for me. When I understood it, I stopped looking for great and spectacular things, and just limited myself to waiting for God to keep His Word.
Don't let your own ideas, about how the Lord will work, take away your healing, your liberation or your prosperity. Just trust God and let Him do things as He knows how to do them. He will act mightily on you.
Just let God work.

God can cause us to get better but nobody is miraculously healed like that today. Elijah brought back someone from the dead. Jesus did that three times in scripture. Probably many more times that were unrecorded but no one is brought back from the dead today.
