Every morning I drink a shot of my home-made elexir of life!
It keeps me healthy, full of energy, kickstarts my digestion and keeping me awesome ;) the shot has also lowered my sick-days to zero! So there's nothing but benefits to gain from this for everybody.
I'm going to be honest to you, it's probably not the tastiest thing you ever tasted, but It works and the taste is just temporary.
Ginger soothes bloated stomachs, prevents colds, relieves nausea, lowers bad cholesterol (LDL) and cleanse the body of toxins.
Turmeric is super for digestion, liver function and detoxification. It is also full of antioxidants and increases the body's ability to heal wounds. The Turmeric active substance, curcumin has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, compared with cortisone!
Black pepper helps the body absorb curcumin from the Turmeric (which is the substance that gives it its orange color).
Red chili pepper also helps to kick-start the digestive system, improve circulation and metabolism. It is bactericidal, analgesic, and help as both turmeric and ginger into the liver cleansing.
Cinnamon is antibacterial and antifungal, facilitates digestion, increases circulation, relieves PMS and prevent urinary tract infections, tooth decay and gum disease. It tastes good in the mixture.
Lemon stimulates the production of digestive juices and thus helps with digestion. It is, its sour taste for defiance, basing and can therefore help to balance up an acidic body. Lemon is liver cleansing, disinfectant and prevents notoriously colds.
Orange relieves constipation and digestive problems by the pectin found in the white shell. Orange (and other citrus fruits) have also been shown to prevent stomach cancer. In my morning shot contributes with a sweetness that goes well with the cinnamon.
Lime stimulates digestive system, eases constipation, protects you from infection and reduces body odour. It’s also prevents heart diseases and regulates suger absorption (good for diabetics).
Honey improve athletic performance, rich in antiseptic and antioxidant properties. It also helps with weight loss, healing wounds and maintain blood sugar levels.
I do my juice once every other week and portions it into small bottles so it stay fresh for every morning!

Enjoy! Veggies and fruits have a lot more benefits then people think! People will rather take a synthetic pill when our nature can prevent far more then we know!

True that. I had measles a few weeks ago and the doctor gave me a bag with unidentified pills... which went straight to the bin and swapped them for ginger-turmeric tea!
