Redecorating My Crib Continues

in life •  7 years ago  (edited)

The redecoration has stagnated a bit because I’ve been quite busy at work, but here is the latest pictures of the new updates I’ve done. I’m now about 90% done with everything, but I’m afraid it’s going to stay like this for the foreseeable future. Don’t you love procrastinating?

Brand new marble table! So happy with it. It’s heavy as an elephant!

My new monkey!! My interior Architech friend told me to stay with brass details as the greys on my walls are warm colors. I was just like: OK! 😐

This was a case of moving the sofa around to see where it would fit best. Also before I got my new table.

This table weighs in at a whopping 54 kilos. And I am so proud that I was able to get it in to my house and assembled by myself.

Still need to paint the floor in the kitchen. It’s such a boring project...

My great grandmother got this chair for her wedding. I’m so happy my grandmother handed it down to me.

Hallway. Not a very exciting room yet. It’s missing a plant, a rug, a bench and some decorations.

The dining room is pretty much all done, along with the kitchen. Just four more rooms to go.

I still got to paint some moldings, doors and windows. And there are things that I haven’t bought yet, such as art, decoration, curtains and storage.
It’s always so hard to get those small details done in the end. Especially when you’re a procrastinator like me. Any advice on how to stop postponing things are well appreciated.

If procrastination was a sport, I would be going pro soon!

I must say, everything came together real nice in your house! I really love your furniture style! If you ever want to get rid of it, I'm happy to take it all1 ^^

Happy still with the Job switch?

Also, I try to make todo lists. It doesn't solve the procrastination issue completely but it helps! Also, don't make them too long, that works against it :)

Hahha! I would already be the captain of the Norwegian National Team if that was the case!

Thank you. I know you have been following sinte i first started, so if you like the change, I know I have at least improved my place. I love being at home now and just look around at all the nice colors.

It’s been a busy switch, but I’m still loving the change. Thanks for asking!

Looking fabulous @susanne great job I love your "Crib" lol! I remember when got that brown easy chair, I want one! and the Golden Monkey is very cool! thanks for sharing with us ! upped earlier now resteemed!👍👍👍
Haha ! Home sweet Home!

oh I really love the two golden monkeys and the cactus decorations 🐒 🌵 and my aunt's name is Lone (Denmark 🇩🇰) hha just like your friend's, good luck with future home adjustments and have a lovely day :) p.s. I just followed you, greetings 🌹

How about "Forbearance is not aquittance"? :)

Anyway, my experience is that procrastination is a result of an already too long to-do list. There is really no need to overtax our day only to feel like having accomplished something at the end of the day. If we want to cultivate a to-do list I recommend keeping it rather short and doable so that stress cannot unfold.

really Love the pictures of this beautiful redecoration, it's so beautiful, nice post ma'am

Thank you so much. I’m glad you liked it.

Ma'am are you on discord

I have a very good advice,
start your day with a champion breakfast!
Haha I’m kidding
One of the easiest ways to get over procrastination is to promise yourself a good reward when it’s done 😊
And be disciplined!

I love your home! You’re not even done yet and it’s looking epic already :)

I always do anyway! Breakfast is my favorite meal.

Smart! I Will Try that.

Thank you, Thank you!

My pleasure! :)

the details in bronze are really showy, although it is frowned upon by some, I lean towards the gray when decorating walls, so it gives me freedom to combine with many more colors in furniture and details, marble will always give distinction to any space, although the weight is really big at the time of any movement, in general lines it is becoming very cozy, so you can postpone a little and maybe find new final ideas, I congratulate you for doing a good job, we do not always achieve that the spaces are joined so easily. Forgive my mistakes in English, I use a translator

Alot of wirk my friend..good job

Yes. Thank you very much.

A trick I found helpful to combat procrastinating is to compromise with yourself. Tell yourself that you will do what you have been postponing and after you get to do something you would rather do, I think this is essentially the reward system someone already mentioned. Also setting a schedule for the day you want to have helps, but I still some work with that one myself.

Great place. I liked the interior. @Susanne.
Your great-grandmother's chair was particularly impressive.
I think my grandmother had one just like it.
Good thing it's been around so long. Ours is broken.
Sincerely yours, @singa

As a student procrastination is also my friend... I absolutely love your decorations, especially the marble table! It is amazing that you carried it all my yourself, you must be strong, hahah! I am excited to see the final result when you finish all the rooms!

Lady, you have fabulous taste. LOVING all the brass! If you end up air bnbing this when you go away.. let me know ;-)

Synes du er veldig flink til å finne fine ting til hjemmet ditt og samtidig ta vare på gamle skatter. Det gir et varmt og personlig preg :)

Pretty chic!
