Should I Meditate Every Day? Take a few minutes and focus on this message to start your day! Get comfortable, drop your shoulders, take a deep breath, become fully present, close your eyes and listen.
•
Overthinking, worry and anxiety can leave you feeling exhausted. They consume all the energy you have to give and leave you with nothing. They take your mind places it would never choose to go on it own. Riding on the back of these three your mind dives deep into fear. Meditation can bring you back.
•
Have you ever been in a situation where you are stressed? Then you keep finding yourself thinking about the most terrible things. You are imagining the worst and feeling everything that comes up around that. You suddenly become aware of what you are doing and pull yourself back to reality.
•
Our minds respond to what we feed them and after they sometimes take us down some dark roads. We can break this cycle. In order to have a different experience though we need to do things differently. Small things can make a huge difference. You don’t have to overhaul your life to find relief. •
This is why I stopped scheduling meditation. Especially when I’m busy it starts to feel like one more thing I have to do. When I choose not to do it I know the consequences. Usually when I need meditation the most is when I tend to not make time for it. So what’s the solution?
•
In a moment of stress rather than grabbing for alcohol, sugar or food to combat it, Meditate. It is in these small moments that meditation can make the most powerful difference in your life. Meditation does not have to be a long elaborate process it can be literally 60 seconds.
•
Take just one minute and focus on your breath. As you breathe repeat the words in your mind, breathe in. As you breathe out repeat the words in your mind, breathe out. Set a timer on your phone if that makes it easier. Or simply continue this process until you feel a lightness within you begin to develop. If you doubt this can make a difference try it for yourself.

I frequently feel stressed mainly because of people (their presence, the way they behave) but that doesn't mean I worry.

I love the message in this video and it actually made me think about ( tweaking ) my daily meditation practice, as well as the group meditation sessions that I started partaking in in the last two weeks or so.
I also wanted to inform you that I decided to curate this post and that it will appear in a #mindfulmonday write up this Monday.
A friendly hug from Portugal,
Vincent
