That's called merged mining. It doesn't use up any more power than Monero does by itself. It's just a bonus. You can even select if you want to merge mine FCN or XDN.

Thank you for commenting. But I think from beginner perspective you'll not able to understand it. And that is the whole point of this article. Yes there is option of none to but layman will not notice that.

carn is right. Merged mining is without additional energy expenses. It's clearly visible even on your screenshots (on the right side). So far Minergate seems legit to me. Another point that could annoy you when you start mining with them is that you need to reach some threshold in order to get your mined coins "confirmed"
