Have you used Megabus? if so you know that you can make a round trip for $2 USD if you schedule around 2 months in advanced.
So far Megabus is the only bus service that I know in USA that provides a low cost transportation service, and don't think they have competitors.
But hey, maybe soon we will be mining some coins with the movement of our bodies, exercising and with the movement of any type of car or any thing/vehicle that can move and transport something.
There is a team of crypto out there that are already working on that idea, I don't recall the name of that one now, maybe you know it? :-)
