Cheers mate, and yes! I started with a traditional style of Karate as a kid, Shukokai Karate. Now I train primarily in Freestyle Karate.

I wondered why none of your kicks were going to the leg. I realize it wasn't a banana bag but I use a basic heavy bag to and I use low kicks a lot but if Freestyle Karate doesn't have them that makes sense. Is that the case?

We do train leg kicks, it just wasn't a focus of my combinations that day. Freestyle Karate is largely a mixture of Karate, Muay Thai, Taekwondo, Boxing, BJJ, Catch Wrestling, Judo.

wait so there is grappling?

There is my friend! I'm just striking dominant and with my major injuries over the last 8 years, I've not really trained any ground work, so I don't have any videos with any!

I learnt my first arm bar back in the mid 90's!

interesting
is there a website

There isn't really a one stop website for Freestyle Karate / Freestyle Kickboxing, each school will have their own local syllabus and focus on their specialties. EG, some places may have more groundwork specialists, whereas others may be more stand up striking based, like ours.

Our school's website is http://www.evadeblackbeltschool.com

but I mean how would you compete in it are ther eroutnaments or what
