Me es muy difícil salir a buscar una fotografía sin pensar en la inseguridad o en que me roben la cámara fotográficas (ya me han robado 2).
Por otro lado, me niego a capturar fotografías de gente comiendo de la basura o de perros, tan enflaquecidos, que el costillar de sus huesos es lo más resaltante.
Me niego a fotografiar la humillación permanente de montarnos en un camión para vacas como transporte público o hacer las capturas de las largas e interminables colas para entrar a un banco.
Y me niego a ello, no por no querer aceptar la realidad sino por creer que trascendemos a este momento coyuntural.
Venezuela es un país con gente de mucho talento: escritores, bailarines, actores, actrices, fotógrafos, cineastas, músicos, artistas en general, investigadores, médicos, filósofos, intelectuales, etc.; gente con amplias capacidades cognitivas, humanas y espirituales.
Con esta fotografía, capturada desde mi carro, escondida, quiero dejar atrás la basura con toda la metáfora que en imagen y palabra se contiene.
Venezolanos, deseo construir un país de oportunidades junto a todos aquellos que así lo deseen.

It is very difficult for me to go out to look for a photograph without thinking about insecurity or having my camera stolen (they have already stolen 2).
On the other hand, I refuse to capture photographs of people eating from the trash or dogs, so flabby, that the ribs of their bones are the highlight.
I refuse to photograph the permanent humiliation of riding a truck for cows as public transport or catching the long and endless lines to enter a bank.
And I refuse to do so, not for not wanting to accept reality but for believing that we transcend this conjunctural moment.
Venezuela is a country with very talented people: writers, dancers, actors, actresses, photographers, filmmakers, musicians, artists in general, researchers, doctors, philosophers, intellectuals, etc .; people with broad cognitive, human and spiritual abilities.
With this photograph, captured from my car, hidden, I want to leave the garbage behind with all the metaphor that is contained in image and word.
Venezuelans, I want to build a country of opportunities with all those who wish.
