Mary is not our mother. The Catholic Church misinterprets the Bible. Look at what it says:
(John 19:26-27 NIV) When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, "Dear woman, here is your son," {27} and to the disciple, "Here is your mother." From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.
Jesus appointed John to take care of his mother. And he did.
God is our father if we repent of our sins and accept what Jesus did on the cross to pay for those sins and if we accept Jesus as our Lord. Mary can't do anything for us. Mary can't even hear us. Only God is omniscient.
