Journal of the Path #11 - Goals, Aspirations, Plans - Why keep a Journal

I am Zak Ludick and this is my journal and documentation of my progress with goals on and off Steemit.

It is probably best to make a statement about Journals on Steemit. I believe that there is a good impact to record and read Journals of other people. I have two Journals that I read all the time on Steemit and I would not mind if it was possible to view some more Journals of people that I find interesting on Steemit... if only they had one.

Some people feel the need to state that the Journal post is not there to make money, to ward off against others that want to cry about people making Journal posts. To this I have to say that I do not agree with either. There is one Journal that I read without this statement and another with the statement. I do not even read the statement anymore. If I like the Journal then I will upvote the Journal. We are all on Steemit to create and share content and keep it as a social media and a blog. If we want more people to join and become a part of this then stop making it so hard to make content and go make a post!

A Journal does add value. I post about my day and my experiences on and off the platform. It becomes a log that someone else can read if they want to see how I progress. Right now it is a Journal of a small account that has poked past the initial hatching of an account. 70-odd authored posts, under 600 comments. It's still very new.

Later on people will be reading the daily log of someone successful on Steemit (yes, that is a statement). This means not only can they have a look at what I am doing right now, but look at the bigger picture and what I was doing getting to there.

Finally, it brings consistency. A constant connection to other people and even more importantly it is a promise to myself that I will keep improving and keep doing what I can in order to meet my goals.

What did I do to reach my goals? - Journal

I went to a Carnival with the kids yesterday at their school. I was very involved last year and it was good to see my little bit of wood working projects were still being used. Details in the post. This year of course this time coincided with my work on the Grand Banks.

Work is progressing swiftly on the vessel. I have never seen so much being done all at once on a ship. New engines, new mining system, new propulsion, the accommodation is getting new floors, walls and ceilings. It really just is a massive refit and it all needs to get completed within 5 weeks? I think that it would be very impressive if we got close to that target.

Right now, myself and two others are standing by to do work on the vessel. We cannot continue right away because our tasks are waiting on other key work to be done first. This is the first time we have had to stand down and wait for work, but it is more possible seeing as there are just so many people that have been inducted to this site.

So now I sit with an exaggerated lunch break. Hence I can post any time of the day haha!

Keep on Steeming everyone!

Until next time!

Regards
Zak Ludick
