I am Zak Ludick and this is my journal and documentation of my progress with goals on and off Steemit.
In reality Minnows do not have even 1% of the total possible voting power on Steemit. However, majority of the whales do not really vote. Orcas and Dolphins generally spread their votes out. Yes, yes. I know there has been some cases of large votes or even self votes that generated immense cash and there is always a dull roar somewhere about such things if you look for it.
Overall, I am invisible to those levels of accounts. I enjoy the company of Redbone Minnows, Gold Minnows and a Dolphin or two. This is the reality comes in. Steem.supply tells me that I generally have around 45 to 55 active upsteemers during a week. On average these days i get around 15-25 upvotes on a post with odd posts going lower and higher than this number.
This is something that has steadily increased and I can only say that this is because success breeds success. Consistency, tracking progress, networking on Discord, making comments and sharing my upvotes not just with my close friends, but with new people that I come into contact worth.
Meanwhile it is a long road to go towards the upper echelons of minnow-hood. Right now, like many others... Tens of Thousands of us... we have the Power of the Doot.
The Doot is what is known as that $0.01 upvote. It's not much but we always appreciate it. Do you know what would be even better than having a $0.01 upvote on your post? Having a high number of Doots!
Mathematically speaking, if a bunch of minnows constantly support each other constantly on a daily basis then there will be a snowball of growth. Each minnow in the group that goes to a 0.02 upvote will cause others to grow faster, which will grow other accounts fast as well.
Meanwhile I have had a lot of fun with the $0.01 upvote. It is a great feeling to find a post at $13.99 and to upvote it and change it to $14. Also I have seen that even my minor contributions, even if humble will count towards the top 20 in income and/or loyalty of accounts many many times larger than my own. IE: My contributions make a major impact on a larger and stronger account.
So to all the Minnows out there I say this: Keep on Steeming! Keep on supporting each other! The rewards will come with diligence.
So let's see how this little minnow has advanced...

Other goals
Exercise and get fit!
I did a few pushups today, just to get the blood flowing again. Tomorrow I intend to start the day off with a morning run. Do not think too badly of me if I do not. It is long weekend after all!
What did I do to reach my goals? - Journal
Being patient! For the first time since I started my Path posts I have not really achieved any of my short term goals. This is because now the gaps are getting bigger. The progress is still there, the statistics have increased and I am happy.
Part of having constant growth on Steemit is to have consistency. Modern games and TV shows have been training people to crave instant gratification. That is why a lot of online games are so very addictive. The same can be said for social medias. Because of this people have a tendency to give up on something because it is too hard to achieve anything in it.
So we have become reliant on that constant pat on the back in order to actually do what we want to do. This is actually wrong. How will you ever progress if you constantly need approval in order to improve? Usually there is no crowd of supporters constantly dogging your heels, giving you praise. You need to show that you have the strength to carry on regardless.
Until next time!
