Howdy sir bigsweed! I haven't gotten to the post that dandays sent but I'm looking forward to it. The new rc system killed growth here and so it takes more time to build your account but you have a good plan and will build, just takes longer but almost all of us are having a harder time building since the rc system was put in place.
As far as the cash situation I'm shocked about the businesses not taking cash because my wife and I were talking about how here in Texas it's much easier to use large bills than it used to be, it used to be hard to give a $100 bill but now everyone takes them gladly! It's like the hundred is the new 20. So that is a little alarming and we will continue to plan for them to stop taking cash but right now we literally pay for everything except our mail in bills with cash and never any problems.
What is it like in New York? I wonder what all those Amish are going to do since they deal in cash and don't like electronics?
No problem in NY spending cash either, just ask my wife.😃😃😃 The new $20 is the $100, because that is about what it gets you, $20 worth of merchandise'
The question of what the heck will the Amish do is a great question. In the area we live, the Amish are quite prevalent.
On most days if you are out and about you have to share the road with their horse drawn carriages. There are many street signs advising you of their activity on the roadways.
Every year I buy my corn from them as it is grown organically.

yes sir bigsweed I love the Amish, we had a very large settlement, actually many settlements in Ohio, at the time they said they were the biggest in the country, I've done a couple of posts on the Amish to and we worked with them in our real estate business in Ohio but in doing research for my last post about them I found out that Upstate New York had the fastest growing settlements being established up there so I thought you'd probably run into them.
We were so spoiled with our food supply up there in Ohio because we went to a health food store that had Amish everything from meats, eggs, produce, all organic of course and really well priced.

In this area they have their own roadside stands loaded with produce during the growing season.
Being a woodworker myself, I enjoy their craftsmanship as well.
Over the summer a group of Amish did a complete restoration of a barn right down the road a piece. I enjoyed driving past it on my way to Norwich to follow their progress. Boy they are hard workers!
