Peaches! It was one of the first Zappa pieces I heard, and put me off his music for a couple of years. Decades later it was my ring-tone for a couple of years. There's an official video for this - we had it at MTV/VH1 back in the 90s.

The few Zappa videos I've seen are pretty weird. I quite like some of the instrumental works

Well I'd never heard of The Tea Set. Love The Lemon Song. What a wonderful time it was for music. Driven as you say by psychedelics. A gigantic psychedelic experiment that threw up much of the great music we still love today.

I agree with the other comment on here. I never realized that Pink Floyd had started as another band. I have never really taken the time to get into them though, so that could be part of it. I was driving down the road the other day though and a Yardbirds song came on and I was trying to pick out the styles and influences in the song that would later become Zeppelin. Interesting stuff!

Many bands start as something else. I've enjoyed Pink Floyd since my student days, but there's still songs I don't know
