Indonesia The Indonesian national flag, known as the Sang Saka Merah Putih ("Merah Putih") is based on the 13th century Majapahit Kingdom flag in East Java. The flag itself was officially introduced and flown before the world at the Indonesian Independence Day ceremony, on August 17, 1945. The flag design is still the same until now.

The red and white color comes from the Majapahit Kingdom flag in the 13th century. Then, the colors were revived by students and nationalists in the early 20th century as an expression of nationalism against the Dutch. The red-and-white flag was flown for the first time on Java in 1928. Under Dutch rule, the flag was banned from flying. This system was adopted as a national flag on 17 August 1945, when independence was announced and has been used since then.

There is also another story about the Indonesian flag, which is significantly related to the Dutch flag. Under Dutch colonialism, every business used the Dutch flag (red-white-blue). While the Indonesian flag is prohibited from being used. As a symbol of resistance to the Dutch, Indonesian nationalists and the independence movement tore the Dutch flag. They tear the bottom of the flag, and separate red and white from blue. The main reason is because blue on the Dutch flag is understood as standing for an "blue-blooded" aristocracy. On the contrary, the red color represents blood spilled in the War of Independence, while white can be understood to symbolize the purity of Indonesia.

The official name is Sang Merah Putih in accordance with Article 35 of the 1945 Constitution. This flag is also commonly called the Red and White Flag, the Dwiwarna, or the Red and White Saka. The Heritage Flag was a flag raised in front of Soekarno's house some time after he proclaimed Indonesian independence on August 17, 1945. This Heritage Flag was sewn by Ibu Fatmawati Soekarno, and was hoisted every year in front of the presidential palace during the Independence Day ceremony. However, because it was considered too fragile, the Heritage Flag was flown for the last time on August 17, 1968.

Red means courage, while white means purity. the red is the human body or physical life, while white symbolizes the human soul or spiritual life. Together they stand to equip humans.

Traditionally, most Indonesians have used red and white as their sacred colors, mixing sugar colors (red from coconut sugar or palm sugar) and rice (white). To this day, both are the main components of Indonesian cuisine every day. Apparently, the people of the Majapahit Kingdom also used this concept and were designed as red and white flags.

while the Polish flag

Poland The Polish flag consists of two horizontal lines with the same width, the white top and the red bottom. These two colors are defined in the Polish constitution as national colors.

White and red were officially adopted as national colors in 1831. They were based on tinctures typical of the symbols of the two constituent countries of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, the White Eagle of Poland and The Pursuer of Lithuania, a white knight riding a horse white complete with a red shield. Before that, the Polish army used a combination of various colors. The national flag was officially adopted in 1919. Since 2004, the Polish Flag Day was celebrated on May 2.
