My parents taught me these useful lessons about money:
- Money can be a friend or a foe/ a servant or a master.
- Money depreciates or appreciated exponentially, it never remains the same in value for an extended period. This means money kept idle will be worth a little or a whole lot less in the nearest future.
- Spend less than you earn and set your money to work for you.
- A good man leaves a legacy for his kids and if he is unable to leave a physical financial legacy, then be should at least leave them financially well-educated to at least have a fighting chance of making it out there.
