Here are some of the amazing meteorological facts and figures regarding this historic hurricane.

39.72 Inches of rainfall that fell in southeast Texas from Thursday evening through early Monday morning near the town of Dayton.

9 Days of heavy rain may fall in some part of Texas from Harvey, from Aug. 25, potentially through Sept. 1.

50 Inches of rain is the top-end forecast rainfall amount mentioned by the National Hurricane Center with Harvey through its odyssey near/over Texas. That number could go higher.
