How the hell do you afford all that land??

That's just 1 acre, and here in Oklahoma even Texas, New Mexico, Colorado, and others there is PLENTY of land for less than $500 per acre.

It's not only a matter of energy consumption but also our nutrition. In a lot of wealthy countries people eat 100kg (220lbs) of meat and more. If that would become the norm for the whole population we would have exceeded a realistic number already - well at least in terms of livestock.

Couldn't agree more, we need to move into sustainability. (Of course, higher numbers of people do not help the issue, but that is not where we should be focusing on to solve the problems that humans are causing.)
