After only drinking water for 80 hours, I broke my fast on monday and started eating again. It is the first time I did a longer fast and from what I've been reading, the most importantant and also dangerous part of the process is to start eating again. There is so much conflicting info on this that I just went with common sense. I started out with a light vegetable soup which contained mostly liquid and is easy to digest. A couple hours later I ate some vegan milk mixed with a little bit of banana, cinamon, spinache powder, hennep powder, curcumin power, black pepper to get all the good stuff into my body and a little bit of sugar. I went for an walk to the supermarket and opted for high pro-biotic plant based foods. (Tempeth & Miso) .The idea is to eat plent of home made insant noodles with more vegetables than noodles the net couple days.
The entire processs of breaking my fast went well even though I did have a temptation to overeat. I did gain back a little bit of weight as expected.
