Korean Traditional Swings

PSX_20190506_154518.jpg

This is a Korean swing.
They're very extra tall, and originally thousands of years ago, Koreans used to stand on their swings, not sit! However I think this is kind of dangerous, so we just sat on them...

There are ropes to hold onto instead of chains. These swings are also usually built on hills. There is another swing like this inside a folk village in Asan. It is built on a BIG hill and you swing off the hill, standing up.

I wouldn't recommend this activity to anyone with bad coordination skills, but it was really fun!

That swing is very tall. It looks like you could get a lot of speed swinging on it. I bet it was a lot of fun

Wow that is a very tall swing. I'm not sure I would want to stand up on it either :S
