Good things happen to those who wait

I had been very much frustrated in the past few days. I thought that I will be able to finish my unicorn on time and make a post on how I did it. It turned out that making one is not as easy as it seems.

It got so complicated. Making fine details requires me to wait until the clay is a bit dry before proceeding. I made a lot of accessories because I wanted my unicorn to look like a real diva. In the end, I cannot use most of the accessories I created because they are too big/ require details/ they simply do not fit to the concept that I abandoned using them on this piece.

I felt so bad about it but it had also gotten me into this mindset: waiting. The story of my life was made up of series of waiting. For all the important and most fulfilling things that happened to me last year, I waited ALOT.

A lady told me this when I was about to start my placement:

Good things happen to those who wait.

I did not really want to attach any meaning on this but, I cannot deny that everything that I waited and prepared for ended up satisfactorily. Nothing that had ever been conceived was instantly embodied. Even the plants no matter how involved technology is in its production needed time to grow and produce its fruits.

I used to be very impatient whenever I needed to wait on queue, when the page I wanted to view in the internet takes time to load, even when the bus does not arrive on time. I have been conditioned to believe that everything can happen at the blink on an eye. In short, the concept of waiting does not exist in my life. But looking back on the things that happened to me, good things really do happen to those who wait not idly but with a purpose and a goal.
