Why do we compete?

I was meditating on this when I came upon a profound understanding that I would love to share.

I believe the best way to lead is obviously by example. It’s always worked best for me as well as the other leaders I have observed thus far in my 27 years on earth.

So if we lead by example, it seems that the desire to be “better” than your opponent, may be on a deeper level the simple wish to show your fellow man a better way of doing it out of love and the desire for the advancement of us all.

Something to think about.
