When I Was A Photographer - My One Day Modelling Career

You should never ever feel like you are unattractive or old, because when you look back at yourself in twenty years time, you'll wonder why on earth you felt like that in the first place.

These are pictures of me on a shoot that I was actually assisting on, the photographer whom I worked for quite a bit never actually paid me any money, instead took a few portrait shots for me.

I never modelled or anything like that, and definitely did not feel like I was good looking enough. I'm not saying now that I was, just that I was a lot better looking than I felt.

Now at the age of 46, looking back at these pictures I wonder why I was so insecure. It's funny because recently I've been going through some of my old pictures and have forwarded some to various friends, and most of them (especially the females) express the same views.

'Wow, I was actually quite pretty then; why was I so insecure?'

Perspective

So in fact it seems like it is all a matter of perspective. If you are ever feeling old and/or unattractive, remember that you will look back at yourself in 20 years time and realise that you are in fact a wonderful human being, with plenty to offer to the world.

As they say, youth is often wasted on the young . . .
