Top of Mountain in China

I forgot to post these last week for the hike up a mountain in China.

The interesting thing was, as I was getting close to the top, I never expected to see anything put tree and rocks. Well, I was wrong. There was a display of stuff a Buddha and what the locals told me was a camp area that the Red Army stayed at during the war. I didn't really believe it, just seemed too staged and no real access to the top of the mountain. There was only one way there and one way out, not what I would call good army tactics. But that is my feeling from how things looked and how the locals were treating me.

I love these black and white shots. Really good detail and all round quality. The way things are balanced on the edge of a rock face is amazing!

Thank you.

What is your feeling on the photo tips I have been posting?

Black and White is always captivating presented, very interesting @davidmendel

Thank you.

You're right, I've also experienced a "bad" experience for not bringing a camera.

Many things beyond expectations that can happen anytime, and regret always present at the end, not in the beginning :)

Beautiful pictures. I'm an expat in china and love visiting places like this. Much different than my mountains back home in North Carolina. Are you an expat or just visiting? I'm starting a steemit expat Discord channel, trying to grow a support network for expats on steemit. Let me know if you're interested.

Thank you for enjoying. My wife is from China and we were visiting last month. Not sure I could live in China, deautiful county but bus cultural differences that would take a while to get used too. I will follow you. Welcome to Steemit.

I understand completely. My wife is also Chinese, I'd be happy moving back but we'll be here at least another couple years.

What part of China are you in?

I'm in Shenzhen.

Your pics of the hike are great, but my favorite is the last one, all those sticks of incense and the ashes tell a story

Thank you. Yes that was my favorite too. I took it from a few different angles but this on I feel spoke best.
