When @teamhumble says, "you wanna take some photos?' You ALWAYS SAY "YES!"...

This year, a few days before Christmas, we included a bit of a treat in the form of a nice bottle of Kraken Rum. SPOILER: The rum is gone now.

Me, being the hoarder justified in the name of repurposing and recycling that I am, was trying to think of what we could do with such a bad-ass bottle when @teamhumble suggested we use it to store our Sushi Rice Seasoning.

If you're not familiar, the stuff that makes sushi rice, sweet tangy and sticky, is Rice Seasoning. It's usually made of a mix of rice wine vinegar, sugar or molasses and salt.

our standard roll recently: avocado, cucumber, carrot and crab (or something that's meant to look like crab)

I purchased a 3 pack of bottles of seasoning that have been clanking around in the cupboard, so today, I decided to remove the label (with the help of some WD-40) and combine all the seasoning we had, along with a half-sheet of nori for extra flavor. It's perfect because it reduces the clutter of the knocking about, AND it saves us scrubbing the heck out of the plastic bottle we were using that is sure to absorb that vinegar smell over time.

@teamhumble got suited up in his newly arm-knit snood/infinity scarf/coziest neck brace ever, and well, the rest is history...

I'm sure I can't be the only one out there who has a hard time throwing out pretty glass bottles and jugs... I just can't help myself. Plus, who needs more plastics in their lives right??

now THAT'S some serious Snood-'TUDE

Until next time friends!

DEAD. perfect, we should totally do ANTI-ADS for brands that don't wanna be you know, normal.

yep. no normals here... on it.

Haha I was thinking you were gonna use it somehow to make maki rolls, but yah your way makes more sense. Reminds me how a buddy rolled out chapatis with a wine bottle one night at a cabin retreat.

Ultimately you got me laughing with the writing style and photos.

Oooohhh this would be the perfect chapati roller lol- and yes I’ve used a wine bottle to roll out pasta dough in a pinch too! ;)

Glad I could give you a laugh 💕!

Must be an old secret from the wine countries, eh?

Haha you better believe it!

I agree. Nobody needs more plastic! Never made my own sushi sauce. Looks interesting and nothing taste better than homemade... warm hug from Cambodia. Seems cold on your side of the world!

True! Their bottles look really good. Haha. Too bad we weren't able to taste it when we made the wall art for the brand. :D

No way really!?? How cool is that! Do you have photos? I'd love to see a post on that

Yeah I do, haha. I remembered it and so I posted it earlier. Here you go.
