Morning Walk - Costa Rica

in photography •  7 years ago  (edited)

It was a glorious morning in Costa Rica, the hot dry season is with us now. The sun is wonderfully intense, the usual cloud cover has all but disappeared! Temperature here today is 29 Centigrade and Relative Humidity is only 76%, which is quite low for this area.
The jungle is more quiet than usual with the changing of the season, new sounds emerging and new birds and whales arriving after their migrations. I live next to a tropical Fjord which is the mating ground for whales from both the Southern and Northern Hemispheres, so we are blessed to get twice the whale activity! I frequently surf with multiple whales and numerous other tropical wonders!
Papayas are coming into season as you see in the last picture ... the fruit here is incredible and plentiful, growing freely in jungles and hedgerows for all to share. Truly natures bounty! Whoever said: "there is no such thing as a free lunch" ... had not sampled or was not accounting for the pleasures of the simple fruit and vegetables nature provides!

There is nothing beautiful than nature

A very interesting post @icedrum! Your post looks very beautiful and also has beautiful views. You are smart in taking pictures so it looks very beautiful..

Thank you rolasoglja :D

Whatt that's amazing that you live there! It's been around 14 degrees here in North Carolina, and it has been my dream to visit Costa Rica in the winter. I am not meant for the cold weather hahah. Can you point me to any resources about the best (i.e. most authentic, inexpensive, fun) way to visit?

Hello Bryan
wonderful to meet a fellow musician! - i DO know a wonderful place to stay... a GREAT friend of mine who is a local Costa Rican (who speaks superb English also!) has just opened a BEAUTIFUL Rancho retreat... very authentic - cost effective and highly recommend! email [email protected]

Following you now also :D

Thank you so much! This is the plan for this time next year..all thanks to some Steem ;)

I also imagine the chirping of the birds, the grinding of the crickets and the tenacious work of the ants. You really live in a heavenly place. regards
@icedrum

Gracias Felix,
You are quite correct - the sounds of the jungle are an ever changing wonder!

Lovely to meet you :D

Costa Rica is on the bucket list. I am so jealous of you right now. We have had below zero temperatures here in the Northeast (USA) for about a week now. I haven't seen vegetation in months. Haha.

Hello Charmaine,
Lovely to meet you! Well i might be a little biased but I recommend Punta Banco and Pavones for unspoilt wildlife and utter beauty - yet easy enough to get here! Contact my very good friends at this address for the most iddilic place to stay you could imagine :D

Where in Costa Rica is this? I lived in San Jose for 5 years, I was transferred there for work, I managed a call center. But it closed and I moved back to Canada to pursue an art career. I'd love to spend part of winters in CR again, and eventually move back! Pura vida ;)
