Howdy today deepwaters! Oh, you're almost Texan then! lol. That is wonderful and that's a wonderful school, I've heard alot of good things about it, well done. Did you get a degree?

Yes, I received a degree from the Business School.
I really enjoyed my time in Texas in general. I wish I knew then what I know now, and I would have explored much more. Only once did I drive through North Texas. Overall, a wonderfull state!

Howdy again deepwaters! I agree that it's one of our greatest states. Are you married?

Yep, married and have kids too. A two year old.
How about you? are you retired from a previous career?

Howdy today sir deepwaters! Very good sir. One child, the two year old?
I was forced out of a lucrative real estate firm, our own, that my wife and I built. I loved it and we were making great money but she had to quit, the stress was killing her. There were Realtors dropping like flies all around us from cancer and heart attacks because of the stress.

She got another job and I was looking and then stopped when I found steemit. We'll see if that was the right decision in the next couple of years! But we have a 15 acre property with about 9 acres to mow and the place was a wreck when we bought it so it needs all kinds of work done so that's what I work on...remodeling or work on the property and then work on steemit.

How very interesting! I know for a fact that Real Estate can be very stressful. I can imagine all of the Realtors sufferings. That is a stressful job. I would not be a realtor. I only build and sell for profit.
It sounds like you have quite a handful with that property and sounds fun as well. This post about the development is 12 acres; cut into 1/4 acre parcels. It is much more work then I expected.
With the house and Steem, it sounds like you stay busy. I also hope the time is worth it for you.

Howdy today sir deepwaters! I should have distinquished that we did strictly REO properties, ones that the banks had foreclosed on, it was a totally different career than what a retail Realtor did. No comparison. A retail Realtor would have no idea how to do REO's. lol.
That's what made it so stressful, it was a hundred times more work, at least, than just listing a house for sale like the retail Realtors do. We took the houses through the entire process of getting it to selling it. The banks forced the Realtors to tell the occupants they were being evicted too! lol. We had alot of drama.

Are you a builder too, are you building the houses on the lots?

How very interesting!
I can understand about being coerced out of the business, and yes, the stress can kill you. (What area did you operate?).
I am really interested in Real Estate. I left a big job in Resort Accounting, and decided to focus on my own interests. I sell 1/4 parcels of land and have a business with other partners-A K-12 private school.

Howdy today deepwaters! By what area do you mean what part of the country? We were in Ohio. Thousands of foreclosures every year there.
What is Resort Accounting?
And you are saying that your partners and you also own a school?
