Why does Nature give us a feeling of freedom?

in photography •  7 years ago

Nature transmits a pleasant feeling of well-being. It makes us feel free. Apart from devastating environmental catastrophes, even when it is unleashed, or perhaps with more reason for that, it moves us something inside that is irresistible.

The vision of a raging sea, the storms, sailing aimlessly on a sailboat, letting the rain soak us, beating the biggest wave with the surfboard, getting lost in a forest, breathing to the full in the middle of a meadow , on the shore of the beach, wrapped by a breeze that gives us wings and even a simple well in the middle of the lost and abandoned forest but with abundant water and life that flows from it.

These situations, and many other similar ones, often convey an indescribable sense of freedom or, at least, a liberating feeling, which helps us to cope with the routine day by day and does not invite daydreaming. Why does Nature give us a feeling of freedom?
