I visited the beautiful Camargue several times, but saw the most birds during our visit in June 2016. Especially the Black-winged stilt was very present. I found a whole colony of these beautiful long-legged birds birds just beside the rv park.
J'ai visité la Camargue à plusieurs reprises, mais j'ai vu le plus grand nombre d'oiseaux lors de notre visite en juin 2016. Surtout, l'échasse blanche était très présente. J'ai découvert une colonie entière de ces beaux oiseaux just à coté du park pour camping-cars.
Ich besuchte die mehrmals die Camargue, die meisten Vögel konnte ich allerdings während unseres Besuchs im Juni 2016 sehen. Besonders der Stelzenläufer war sehr präsent. Ich fand eine ganze Kolonie dieser schönen langbeinigen Vögel direkt neben dem Wohnmobilstellplatz.
The black-winged stilt, also called common stilt or pied stilt (Himantopus himantopus) is a very long-legged wader and en elegant flyer. I think they must be migrants for the place where I found their colony in June was deserted in November. I heard they live in the Sub-Sahara Africa and Madagascar area and come to Europe only during summertime. They are nesting on a bare spot on the ground near the water.
L'échasse blanche (Himantopus himantopus) est un échassier avec de très longues jambes avec au vol très élégant. D'après ce que je sais, il s'agit d'un oiseau migrant, l'emplacement utilisé par la colonie en juin était déserte en novembre. A ce que j'ai lu, ils vivent dans les régions sub-sahariennes en Afrique et au Madagascar. Ils nichent au sol sur un emplacement à proximité de l'eau.
Der Stelzenläufer (Himantopus himantopus) aus der Familie der Säbelschnäbler ist ein Wader mit sehr langen Beinen und dabei ein sehr eleganter Flieger. Soviel ich weiss, handelt es sich hierbei um einen Migranten, jedenfalls war der Ort, welchen die Kolonie im Juni bewohnt hatte, im November verlassen. Ich habe gelesen, dass die Vögel in den sub-saharischen Regionen Afrikas und auf Madagaskar leben. Sie nisten auf dem Boden nahe des Wassers.
