May I add "Snapseed" to the apps that are useful? Many pre-set filters (more than Instagram) and also very useful tool to emulate HDR.

Hey @r00sje, personally I'm not a fan of pre-set filters. I don't think you learn something from using pre-set filters. Does it have a customizable option? Exposure/grain/sharpen/fade/highlights/shadows? Haven't looked into Snapseed.
