A little 'light dep' cannabis photography - 7 original images

in photography •  6 years ago

This photoshoot only lasted about two hours, which is a bit rushed for me. I wish we could've had more time on the property but we leave when 'the security' leaves. And one thing I know about security types, they don't give a shit about photography. They just want to go home.

This is what we call the "money shot'. Most of our time was spent staging this scene with lighting then shooting multiple exposures while the green house opened and closed several times. These greenhouses are 100% computer controlled, they detect moisture levels and run a cannabis atomic clock, of sorts, that allows these plants to thrive.

That's me! I was having a chat with the guy doing security, but you can see a little 'behind the scene' action showing the camera placement in the space.

With the little time we had left we were able to run around and shoot some architectural details.

The goal is to try and capture the feeling of the space with just a few images.

We try and collect a good selection of vertical and horizontal images. When it comes to a specific type of marketing we don't want our client to be limited.

These last few images are taken from the outside. Really quick I wanted to share this thought... people are ripping grapes out to grow cannabis. That's fascinating to me.

The security guard needed to leave but I wish we could have stayed and messed around with lighting and longer exposures. To get the greenhouses opening under the stars would have been amazing. Maybe I can inspire someone else to try it.

Cheers!

Great content. You got an impressive set up going on. Keep it up

Thanks! My set up is camera related only. These beautiful plants were grown and loved by someone else ;)

You need to do the cannabis post more often :) Also thanks for not using the marijuana tag. I hate that word and want to get people to stop using it!

I'm with you on that Friend.

There is NO such thing as Marijuana !

I made a post last year on why we should quit the #marijuana in favor of #cannabis..

Following you ... Perhaps we can collaborate a concerted effort to Stamp out marijuana from the block chain ! I'd Love to help make that happen.. Thank you.

Yeah let’s do it!

Ok so what do we do 1st?

Maybe when we see a post with the marijuana tag we ask them To just use cannabis. I run @canna-curate. I might stop manually curation when I see the marijuana tag. But I’ll do a post about it first. On the fence though to stop curation. But I’ll do a post soon to let people know I only look under cannabis tag.

Get off the Fence... Are YOU WITH ME !!!
@canna-curate !! You are key to making it happen then... I'll help however i can.. i can write some posts, i'll do one today.. I'll just say i'm working with you to make it happen, please support @canna-curate etc.etc. is that o.k then.. Think Rocky 3 ..

Thanks for the love. I am fairly new to the northern california scene, so it's a new industry for me. We shot another farm last week and I'll post them soon. Really, I am into film photography at the moment. Non-work related, just my passion.

Wow... incredible. I could just imagine the beautiful aroma

I know right? Not only was the smell amazing but the amount of oxygen in that room was so noticeable.

(These greenhouses were designed by an architect in Ukiah named Richard Ruff. I should have put that in the post.)

Congratulations you've been chosen by our curators at Canna-Curate for great cannabis content! If you'd like to join our curation trail
