Photographers study light, not unlike a scientist, save for beakers, and test tubes. Driven by the unrelenting urge to bear witness to more, the amount of subjects and disciplines number infinitesimally. A number of variables within control and an equivalent amount without, I sharpen skills in observation in order to best capture countenance. Ushered forward by the advent of technology, ‘the process is simplified’ is a bold claim by laymen and naysayer alike. I counter with the conclusion that all is not as it seems…
Perception is strong as sight is weak. As an academic strives for a greater knowledge, my eyes beam for the chance at lightning, a flicker of a moment, illustrious, out of reach, out of body, like the faith in higher power, nay, the majesty of astral bodies.
