I had a chat with an old flame recently, some of these lines came about in our conversation.

Every second

No amount of money can be wasted,

If sweet memories of you could be tasted,

No amount of time is lost,

When memories have no cost.

You are worth all I have,

Every dollar, every dime,

Every second that I can spare,

I’d spend ‘em if memories with you I got to share

One more

Just one more short coming,

One more mistake to my list.

One more stupid idea

That left my heart all crisp

One more line to add,

To all the many I’ve already had,

One more poem to say,

That all you did was made me sad.
