The saying goes: it is better to be silent and foolish than to speak and dispel doubts. Talking is perhaps one of the things that man seeks to achieve as he grows, but when he becomes mature, he knows that silence is more intelligent. We are in the age of telecommunications: man says everything, he knows everything! To speak of our ignorance is almost a crime! We have believed to reach the maximum knowledge, but we are wrong. We are just a product that repeats, like parrots, what we see, what we hear. There is no true internalization of thought and knowledge! How wise have been your words today. Hugs

Masterfully-stated. 👌

Knowledge is unending. Those who do know this are truly wise and need not prove superiority with their limited space. The foolish on the other hand take every opportunity to assert their limited knowledge and vast ignorance.

At least that's what I think. Happy weekend

For some reason I read this whole thing in the voice of Keanu Reeves ala Bill and Teds Excellent Adventure.

Man... I know there was some account who was commenting with streaming audio translations of posts here - if only it’d get upgraded so could choose the voice like that... :-D

This is totally beautiful, your poem looks like a prose fiction and obviously the longest free verse I've ever seen.
I love the fact that the poem employed paradox to narrate the ironies of life. It'd somehow absurd in speech but when you look deep you will understand the paradox portrayed by the poem emphasises the harsh realities of life.

I love your ending stanza, it's Just like saying to live one must first die, which seems contradicting but absolutely very factual.

Splendid poem @rok-sivante

The best in all intellectuals does not meet their own criteria. The mask of palpitations fails to recognize itself. The greatest creature in the earth, which is made up of five elements, is powerful in proving itself as inhalation despite being powerful. Leaving the importance of relationships and running behind mortal wealth. There is no denying the difference of the true lie. There is no harm in telling such a human as a wise fool.

A wise fellow once said to me "it takes a wise man to act foolish" as such i totally agree with you that "sometimes the highest act of intelligence is playing the fool".....

thanks for sharing these words of wisdom

One of my best quotes is "I already know what I know, so I try to listen and learn what others know".

Only those who know, actually know that what they know is limited and there is still so much to know.

Since picking up that lesson i've tried to spend more time listening and learning than talking and trying to claim superiority for my limited intelligence

"The ultimate power is already ours;
And by claiming it, we lose it."

The mere act of claiming intelligence or power is to believe that they are desperate from our true selves, thus separating ourselves from them that much more.

It's good to be foolish at times in order to learn from poeple.
These days people have learnt to act as a wise fool based on their past experience

then what about people who have skills, when they want to find a job, before being accepted into one of the companies they interview us, and one of the questions is "what is your skill" do we have to keep quiet without telling us the skills we have? of course we will definitely try to explain as well as possible about the skills we have, so that they can be accepted at the company.

Is the answer to your question not already obvious before it was even asked...?

in my opinion is already obvious, but that question forcing me to answer too much in explaining the skills i have. the goal is to convince him.

Consider:

Might it be more effective to approach with the intention of “convincing”... OR to demonstrate...?

Subtle distinction. Though, big difference between attempting to persuade someone’s opinion, versus showing them so they can arrive at their own conclusions...

yes right, maybe I agree with you. indeed in a job it certainly shows real evidence more meaningful than just rhetoric. and they can arrive at their own conclusions
