I may eat meat, but I could eat about 10 of these right now :)

They were wonderful :-)

Not a fan of tacos or beans but your avocado sauce sounds amazing. I was going to make a basic guacamole for chips tonight but will try this instead since I have all of these ingredients except for the mustard seed. I think this sauce would also taste great on lightly toasted Turkish bread. Thanks for sharing this, @kennyskitchen!

It was delicious on some rye bread, that's for sure. I absolutely love playing around with avocado-based dips, it just lends itself to so many wonderful flavors.

The protein myth is a load of BS though, if you eat enough calories from whole plant foods it's impossible to not get enough protein, every plant-food contains all essential amino acids, in different ratio's, just eat enough calories from whole plant foods and you get everything you need, in other words just don't starve yourself.
Too much protein can in fact be a problem, but i think that is more related to animal protein.

Exactly right, and I enjoy showing to to people through the foods that I make. You want a huge protein boost, eat some broccoli with hummus!

Anything over 10% of your diet being animal protein has been shown to exponentially increase cancer cell growth.

Looks great Kenny,
Why avocado oil? I've never cooked with it. We use gobs of coconut oil though. I buy it by the 5ga bucket.
A lot of people focus on the protein too much, but it's not tough to get enough if you're eating halfway decent. The American diet just focuses way too much on meat. Instead, folks would do better to focus on high fat and complement with meat. And, of course, ice cream is the most complete food source.
Personally, I'd like to see some bacon in this recipe. :)

Avocado is much better for high heat like you'll get off a cast-iron, and I prefer it's taste for a mexican-themed dish.

Avocado handles higher heat than coconut oil? Didn't know it was possible. Do you know if it has the same health benefits? Looks like it's about the same price.
Yep, cast iron. Is there anything else? :P

It doesn't have the same health benefits, but it is healthy oil. I usually get it at Grocery Outlet, a discount grocer all over the place in Cascadia.

That's everything, I was using a wood spatula myself.

Oh, food grade avocado is pricey. Hrmmm, have you found an inexpensive source?

Hemp tofu!

It's amazing stuff! And they have it nationwide in the US, I've seen it west, middle, and east.

Im not a vegan, but I will be giving this a try!

I can't recommend it highly enough. Some toasted sunflower or pumpkin seeds for crunch set it off perfectly too!

Looks tasty! I'll be bookmarking this for future reference. Thanks!

Wonderful! Let me know what you think :-)

Kenny,

These looks yummy with or without meat.

They certainly were :-) Just one take on veggie tacos, you can make an almost endless variety of dishes based on that same theme.

Hemp tofu sounds like the greatest invention ever! I need to try it.

Yum! Glad to know about hemp tofu! I'll look for it next time I'm grocery shopping.
