LYRICS

We are the children of JAH
We are his dwelling place
We are the children of JAH
Look what our hands can make
Look what our minds can make
Until it's sci-fi and fake
It looks like non-biodegrade
We are the children of JAH
Look what our hands can make
Cities to the sky
Nimrod a' Babylon say
Robot armies of a drone embrace
Robot armies of a drone embrace
Peer satellite cyber warfare at a hectic pace
There are some social ideals that must be replaced
They can already annihilate a race... human race
We are the children of JAH
Look what our thoughts can make
Acceleration of disgrace... space... yeh'
Who made space race?
Children of JAH
Children of JAH
We need to revere this place
Preserve this place
Maintain and keep our place... Earth... The whole Earth
They only study of the lightning and the thunder
Ignition and combustion ways
Fire is the element of change
Children of JAH
Whoa children of JAH
Keep your faith
When scientific innovation is the leader
The whole world turned that page
To follow that page
Whoa children of JAH
Children of JAH
Children of JAH

Midnite, if I’m not mistaken, hails from my mother’s homeland : St. Croix, USVI. Bless!

@geosoma from the Caribbean? Be sure to share some caribbean content on ReggaeSteem.io :)

My mother is from St.Croix and I still got a good amount of family there. Also got family in the Dominican. Thanks for the shout out, I'll for sure participate on ReggaeeSteem.io

Yes-I, born in Antigua, but spent the majority of his life in the USVI. More recently he was living in Florida when he passed onward. Bless up @geosoma!

Next time give us a little insight on the tune. Then again the lyrics below spell it out clear, powerful.

Give thanks @dmilliz! A review of this tune is sure to come very soon. In my previous Midnite/Akae Beka music video review I uploaded the video to ReggaeTube and did the review all in one go. However, I want to try a new style with this one.

I figure it might be better to let the music video live as it's own thing on ReggaeTube, and of course I put some lyrics and info for it similar to the way it would appear on YouTube, but I aim to do a review in a follow-up to this video using the link to this post as the source for the video. I figure this way if ReggaeTubers want to just watch "Children of JAH", they have easy access to it on ReggaeTube. But for the review portion, I like the control I have on the ReggaeSteem.io interface, and want to submit it from the ReggaeSteem.io frontend.

It's just an experiment, but I think overall it would be better to have the music video review and the music video as separate things. What are your thoughts @dmilliz?

Good idea - I'd be interested in how you came across this music :)

Give thanks @shani.jahming! I don't remember how I came across Vaughn Benjamin nearly 20 years ago, but his music sat with me for 5 years before it suddenly spoke to me. Now Vaughn Benjamin is the creator behind 80% of the music that enters my ears. There is no one to compare to the Wordsmith.
