Yeah I've read about this before on lifehacker.com and a few other places where they say it gets you in the right mindset for success. It works really well, but I have trouble sticking to it. Maybe I just need to put an achievement at the end of the day everyday for reading my achievements lol.

It is human tendency that we plan a lot for the day, but at the end of the day we realize that we were unable to do whole work then we start criticizing ourselves. But I would like to suggest that set a plan for the day, give your 100% in it, if you are able to complete it at the end of the day then it is good otherwise don't be so sad and not allow negativity overtake your positive thought. Hi @cryptoctopus, I feel we are on the same boat when you said, "I could have accomplished more if I focused better". Focusing is the challenge when we are trying to achieve a goal, that's my serious weakness. I hope to see my day as a win and becoming a street smart person altogether. Again focusing is the key. I have downloaded the WinStreak app, very easy to use. Just need to have a goal each day that will record my achievements. Tried to check the podcast but it support iphone and not android I think.

You are totally right! We are the only ones able to set the way we interpret our day to day life. Recently I wrote about how thinking positively makes us feel better and I think you are approaching this same subject.

It is easy to get bogged down in the negativity. There are times, like daily, that is it important to step back and see the bigger picture. We get so worked up about what we are trying to accomplish that we fail to see how many little things add up at a lot. The Japanese have a practice called Kaizan which is basically a lot of small improvements make a huge difference.
I see a great deal of what you are referring to on here. People want to focus on flag wars, the lack of communication from steemit, and the limitations right now of the site. They fail to see the big picture.
I did a post this morning about an interview @ned and @heimindanger had the other day. Talk about big picture. @ned is looking at where the steem blockchain will be 5 years from now...not next month. Lots of big ideas.
Overall, most of the people who commented grasped that it is encouraging to see that. It is amazing what happens when you step back and see the bigger picture.
Oh and by the way, that practice can also alert one to dump something. I work in an industry that is in decline. Most in my company, hell the industry in general, have no idea because they are so focused upon this month's and quarter's results. I am sitting thinking to myself "you people fail to realize most of this industry will be gone in 3 years".

Something happened yesterday in school and I missed almost all my classes, when I looked back to how everything started I go very angry because I had plan a day without hurdles. It's a very post modern oriented app, and I really love postmodernism theories so I guess i like that app too.
The idea of the post modern theory, and way of thinking, is that there is (some would say - ALMOST) nothing definitive. things are what the viewer see they are - and if one decides to see them in a certain way - than for him it's solid reality.
So in our case, if one has a day some would say is definitely a bad day, objectively so - according to that theory, the person can - by his interpretation, by the way he sees things - make this day into a totally happy and good day, because where does that day exists now that he is over? only in our memory - and if that person remembers that day in certain way, a good one - that the existence of that past day become good - and it's a reality and not an illusion. You might think that it requires a twist of the events so they will fit what we define as "good", but it's not so - it's a post modern thought remember? so if the person sees it as good - that's all that matters, without interpretation according to our regular standards.
Now - with that app you can implement your good interpretation in somthing more solid than the "thought" itself, and it can be kinda cool and encouraging!

I will definetely check that app out... That's always my major problem - being focused and being productive. The sad thing is that most of the time I spend in front of the pc so a windows app would help me a lot more but it is not available on microsoft store.

I use a bullet journal to keep track of my to do's & daily/weekly goals, which is working really well for me (just web search for details).
I find that attaching small rewards to key goals (which are mini-goals building toward's a main goal) is the way to go. The reward can be anything which motivates you, aside from reaching your goal. For example, I get to watch football (or soccer if you're from US) game on TV tonight if I achieve work-related goal(s) for today. If I don't hit them, I don't watch the game.
We're all individual and are motivated in different ways, but I think the key to success is in cementing new habits, which become learned behaviour after a while. Setting goals and a way to see your progress is a great way to cement good habits.

It is a great app and I really like Dan Sullivan's stuff. He also makes some appearances on the "I Love Marketing" with Joe Polish and Dean Jackson which tends to go way beyond marketing. Some really interesting concepts and ideas.
I think he also does a podcast with Dean Jackson on "the joys of procrastination" which sounds at the other end of the spectrum to 10x...!

This looks like an excellent app that I am going to try out! I'm currently using an excel sheet to do the same thing, so a mobile app is definitely easier to use and manage.
I will of course listen to the podcast, but i am really interested to track my motivation based on this app - recording your goals and remarking them when achieved is hugely important, and this app may be perfect even for planning your Steemit goals!

Insightful @cryptoctopus , At the end we thank failures for making us strong, but what's turly pathetic is that when we experience failure we think that the we won'treach the light and that's an illusion.
what I've learnt is that at some point we might experience anxiety,fear,solitude, depression and confusion but all of this things just prepare us for the next level and I found that without all of this I wouldn't have spent time with myself to heal and rise. while I was totally confused I was able to tranform all of negativity for my sake. we don't need to regret we need to focus on what's coming just that simple
