This is why I want to go to Steemfest / 스팀페스트에 왜 가고 싶냐구요?

For someone like me who loves Bangkok, and can't wait to meet my Steemian friends, probaly not easy to find the reason why I don't want to go to Steemfest.

It's true the price of Steem has dropped a lot and not getting much attention, but there are lots of good projects going on and, I still think Steem is the best blockchain based SNS that exist.

After leaving Facebook many years ago, I did not have an account for a long time. But then a few weeks ago, I had to make an facebook account because of my work to do. I left facebook because of concerns about privacy infringement, but there was a personal information leak after that. I asked my informations again to join facebook again, and it was really uncomfortable and I was worried about the leak as well.

After I've been active on Steemit for two and a half year, when I looked back at Facebook I realized that how decentralize system is important and need for us. There are a few problems on Steem as well includes you have to keep your privet key safe. But I feel so much more free and comfortable on Steemit than Facebook. Also don't have to worry about hacking or leaking my information since I can keep my privet key safely.

There are Steemians who's still active on Steemit, and probably some of them are skeptical, and some of them are as optimistic as me. There are various problems in Steem, but I think that the advantage of Steam is good enough to overcome the problems, so I can not give up my deep affection and expectations for Steem until the end.

I hope that I will be able to meet the Steemians who has similar thoughts with me from all over the world in Bangkok and have a lot of productive conversations and bring Steem active again. This is why I'm going to Steamfest:) See you in Bangkok!

방콕을 너무나도 사랑하고 스팀잇 친구들을 너무나도 만나고 싶은 저에게는 스팀페스트에 가고 싶지 않은 이유를 찾는게 어쩌면 더 빠를수도 있을것 같습니다 ;) 아... 가고 싶지 않은 이유가 한가지 있다면 스팀 가격이겠죠ㅠㅠㅠㅠ

스팀 가격이 많이 떨어졌고 그에 따라서 많은 주목을 받고 있지 못하는것도 사실이지만 그럼에도 불구하고 여전히 스팀잇 안에서는 좋은 프로젝트들이 활발히 진행되고 있으며, 제 생각엔 현존하는 최고의 블록체인 기반의 SNS라고 생각합니다.

페이스북을 탈퇴를 한 뒤로 오랫동안 계정을 갖고 있지 않다가 얼마전에 일때문에 어쩔수없이 계정을 만들게 됐습니다. 사생활침해에 대한 우려로 탈퇴를 한 것이였는데 아니나 다를까 그 후로 개인정보 유출사건이 있었죠. 다시 가입을 하려니 또다시 각종 저의 정보를 물었고 그 점이 너무 불편하고 유출에 대한 걱정도 되었습니다.

스팀잇 안에만 있어서 잘 못느꼈는데 페이스북을 다시보니... 탈중앙화가 이래서 좋은거며 필요한 거였지... 하고 다시한번 깨닿는 계기가 되었습니다. 스팀에도 여러가지 문제점이 있고 그 중 하나가 개인키를 안전하게 보관해야한다는 단점(?) 있지만 제가 느낀바로는 페이스북에 비하면 스팀잇은 훨씬 더 자유롭고 해킹이나 유출에 대한 걱정 없이 사용하기 훨씬 더 편하게 느껴지는것 같습니다.

아직까지 스팀에 남아있는 분들은 여전히 회의적인 분들도 계시고 저처럼 낙관적인 분들도 계실거라 생각됩니다. 스팀잇에도 여러가지 문제점들이 있지만 스팀의 장점이 그 문제점들을 뛰어넘을 만큼 좋다고 생각하기 때문에 마지막까지 스팀에 대한 애정 그리고 기대를 포기 할 수 없는것 같습니다.

저와 비슷한 생각을 갖고 있는 전 세계의 스티미언들을 방콕에서 만나 많은 생산적인 대화를 나누고 그로인해 다시한번 스팀에 활기를 가져다 줄 수 있었으면 좋겠습니다. 이것이 왜 제가 스팀페스트에 가려는 이유입니다 :) 그럼 모두 방콕에서 만나요!
