I just finished a 5.035km run that lasted about 0hh:23mm:6ss !

Yesterday I ran my first Parkrun since the Marathon in early May and it wasn't exactly one to remember. I wasn't sure how my injured leg was going to hold up (since I hadn't run on it in ~ 10 days) and whether I was ready for Parkrun, but with a 10k road race in my mind in exactly 4 weeks time, I needed to start building up some mileage. I did a 1-2km warm-up and I could still feel a slight niggle, which, after some stretching, went away and I was actually not too bad for the first 2km, but after that it all went downhill and my form disappeared completely. After I finished, I did a long, slow 3km cool-down to try and jog it off.

The pain is considerably less than a couple of weeks ago, but it seems to be in a different place than my last two runs so I'm a little confused. I'll have to rest up for another couple of weeks before I consider running again.
