Hi bernie... I have stayed away from these battles because after my first few days I saw the amazing passion on both sides. I know there are good guys and bad guys, but frankly I'm not involved enought to know who is who. Except in two cases, I know fulltimegeek is a good guy as I have many friends that are stewardsofgondor recipients. And I know the guy that you mention here is a bad guy that is taking away from everyone and ftg is going after.

I tell you this because I saw you post of support on fulltimegeeks page, so that leads me to believe you are on the right side and I would support. So while I'm sure my opinion doesn't matter, I think you are one of the "good" guys.

I wrote an article in support of fulltimegeek's upcoming war and I noticed that you have a grudge against one of the guys that mentioned your name and he was downvoted. Obviously I had nothing to do with it and didn't know either of you, so I have no reason to know who is right or wrong. The bottom line is that I saw that he is screwed and is basically finished here if you want him to vanish. So it got me to thinking about a program that I will be rolling out soon at our #newbieresteemday site. We will be trying to help people that did wrong to admit what they did wrong and hopefully get rehabilitated. We are not looking to take any sides or get in any wars with this program, what we will be doing is trying to help those people that made a stupid mistake and are willing to essentially repent.

So my question to you is would you entertain an idea where we dive in and see if we can rehabilitate people that you have gone after for bad behavior? I know you would have the final say, but I'm think we could spend the time to educate them what they did wrong so they are good citizens here again, and if we succeed then we could have them make an appeal (like being on parole in real life).

I'm not looking to do anything without your consent and approval, and if you were in agreement then I would consult you about the details before I ever did anything.

So my question is, would you be open to having this discussion with me? If so, this is great... If not, I understand that you have very important things going on right now.

I wish you the best in your war alongside fulltimegeek and hope you guys prevail against the evil the ftg talked about yesterday!

I put this post far down your list so that it isn't in the public eye. I am not looking to do anything other than help people and this situation came up and I thought I would try. If I hear from you, I will be happy.. If not that's ok too!

It can either go up or down. Don't need thousands of charts to know that. No one can predict what the price is going to be. It's dropped. It probably will go back up. It could reach $30K this year. No one really knows. He is like the weather channel, we must need an update ever hour from him.

I support the notion of flagging scammers, especially ones who are taking more than their share of the rewards pool. However, people are free to choose who to follow and comment, even if they are fools for who they support. Flag haejin for being a scammer if you believe that to be true. But how do you justify flagging the victims of his scams?

I have seen the same being done to those that comment in support of the efforts being made by Bernie and others to clean the platform up.

The harsh truth is that Steemit has inadequately represented the potential of the Steem blockchain and in my opinion it is this very dilemma that impedes its broader adoption, thus constraining its valuation relative to other crypto projects which it had a multi-year head start on.

The evident flaws in the rewards distribution system must be addressed. Kicking this can down the road any further is inexcusable. After all, the daily inflation of Steem is inextricably tied to the posts being published on this site and what is evident is that instead of being distributed to high quality content producers, it's being disproportionately consumed by those that exploit its deficiencies in cahoots with some whales that favor short term gains versus the long term viability of the underlying blockchain.

Isn't the most effective way to counter the distribution problem to focus all of your voting power on hitting the posts by the scammers? If you create a war between Bernie and haejin supporters then that will drag more people into an expanding conflict. However, if you downvote the scammers and create quality content to increase your SP then the scammers slowly get squeezed out.

Thanks for the feedback. After recognizing the riff raff that is rampant around here, I too stopped publishing original posts. I still engage in commentary because I know that there are still folks around here that want to see things improve.

Therein lies the glimmer of hope. Actions speak louder than words and it is a promising to see some of the users that care about the long term success of the blockchain calling for better governance. Because it's clearly not being done to the extent that it is needed by Steemit Inc or the Witnesses.
