Transhumanism is an intellectual and cultural movement, whose ultimate goal is to transform the human condition through available technologies.
On the one hand, developments in medical technologies will be able to eradicate diseases and may even slow down or reverse the aging process.
We will also have the possibility of transferring our brain to a humanoid robot or even having multiple versions of ourselves in different virtual scenarios.
With all this, possibly my great-grandchildren, if I had them, could seriously consider the possibility of being immortal.

Although I am quite clear that I will not have that problem, I have tried to ask myself the question:
Would you choose immortality if you had a choice?
It is true that it would be wonderful to have an old age without ailments, even to live 100 or 200 years, but the thing about immortality, honestly, I do not know if it will be a dream or a nightmare.
Living is not the same as lasting my friends, when you live intensely and passionately what matters least is the number of years lived.
Did Alexander the Great, who did not reach the 40's, lived less than a centenary person of our days?

Honestly, it would have to change this world a lot to want to stay in it "per saecula saeculorum".
On the other hand, I do not consider myself a believer but if I am curious to see what is at level 2, of course I am not in a hurry.
Carpe Diem.
