If you need to get problems and worries off your mind, you need to journal, making room for productive, positive thoughts.

There's nothing like a breath of fresh air for a quick mental lift. If you can't get out, open a door or a window instead to let the air come to you.

Talking with a positively minded person will have the effect of boosting your mood.

To enjoy an instant mental boost, try listening to some upbeat music. Try making up some playlists for whenever you feel down.

You need a good dose of laughter every day to elevate your mood and help maintain mental health.

A perfect way to get into a better frame of mind is to exercise. The will fire up the endorphins which will power up your positive thought process.

Adding spices such as nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves to your recipes will provide you with the nutrients which sharpen memory and reduce stress.

Looking at pictures that please you will help your brain to focus on the positive, pleasurable aspects of life.

Got a funny friend? Spend some time with them to get some good belly laughs. This can be an instant mental pick-me-up.
